I grew up in the Nevada desert where water has been an issue since I can remember. With the crippling drought taking hold in the West I decided to create something for people to do that would save water and raise awareness of everyday water use. The idea was Drought Day. Working with a few other ad folks, our goal was to raise awareness that Americans use 2.7 billion gallons of water showering daily. We drove people to www.droughtday.com to learn more info and started a conversation to raise awareness on twitter.
